McKittrick Canyon (3/4 day) (Moderate, 6.8 miles round trip hike, 30 minute drive to site) possible birds: Gary Vireo, Western Tanager, Black-headed Grosbeak, Bushtit, Virginia’s Warbler, Violet-green Swallow

Guadalupe Springs (1/2 to 3/4 day) (Difficult, 3.0 miles round trip, 45 minute drive to site) possible birds: Migrant Trap

Rattlesnake Springs New Mexico (1/2 day) (Moderate, short walk, 15 minute drive to site) possible birds: Bell’s Vireo, Varied Bunting, Vermilion Flycatcher, Orioles, and Migrants

Smith Springs (1/2 to 3/4 day) (moderate, 45 minute drive to site) possible birds: Migrant Trap

Dog Canyon (all day) (Moderate, 4.5 miles round trip, 90 minute drive to site) possible birds: similar to McKittrick Canyon, also Cassin’s Kingbird, Juniper Titmouse, and Hepatric Tanager

Red Bluff Reservoir (1/2 to 3/4 day) (Easy, car birding, short walks, 75 minute drive to site) possible birds: Western Grebe, Clark’s Grebe, shorebirds

Dell City (3/4 day) (Easy, car birding, short walks, 70 minute drive to site) possible birds: Migrant Trap
