Photo Gallery

Welcome to our photo gallery of Texas rarities. Most of the following photographs have been selected from the Texas Photographic Records File (TPRF) held at Texas A & M University in College Station. These have been supplemented by photographs of documented individuals made available by the photographer. NOTE: All copyright remains with the photographer. If any abuse of this copyright comes to the attention of the webmaster, all photos will have to be severely reduced in size/quality, or removed entirely - a great loss to all.

Species with an asterisk suffix (*) are represented only by photos of specimens/remains.

Please visit our Rogues' Gallery - perhaps you can contribute....

NEW: The TBRC is pleased to announce it's partnership with the Texas Bird Images Project (TBI) - a new TOS-sanctioned website managed by Jim Peterson whose goal is to provide photo documentation at the TOS Region level of all species - but especially birds that are rare to the region or have unusual plumages. Note that while the TBI may sometimes show photos of a Review species, the display of the image(s) there does not infer or impart any degree of acceptance as a formal record for Texas - only theĀ TBRC can determine this.
