Panama 2026: Is That a Bird?
Panama Sue and her posse have returned to Texas from Panama. The trip, as usual, was a smashing success with travelers new to the country and others returning for more.
Two TOS members who had not even thought of traveling to Panama were Chris and Lynn McMullin. As Chris writes,
If you'd told me a year ago that my wife and I would spend 10 days in Panama birding, I would have scoffed at the idea. All I knew about Panama was that there is a canal, it's in Central America, and there is a Van Halen song titled Panama—which, it turns out, isn't about the country at all, but a car.
Last November we attended the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival, where we met Carlos Bethancourt of the Canopy Family in Panama. Lynn and I were intrigued. Maybe someday, we thought, we'd go to Panama and do some birding.
Apparently "someday" meant sooner than we expected.

If that doesn't make you want to sign up for our next trip to Panama with Christian Walker, I don't know what will!
