Audubon Dallas Presents Peter Kaestner

TOS is pleased to partner with Audubon Dallas for a special event.

This event brings the world’s most prominent bird lister to Dallas, and TOS members are invited to hear Peter Kaestner recount his adventures chasing birds around the world while working as a US diplomat. 

Peter’s story highlights the incredible bird diversity of the world, and on his journey, he supported conservation efforts for birds and birders.  Peter represents the best qualities of bird listing — to not just keep a life list, but study and document the birds, appreciate the value they add to a local community, support and inspire young guides and avitourism, and create a sense of wonder from all who bear witness to his accomplishment. 

Audubon Dallas hopes that this presentation will inspire a love of birds and turn that passion into conservation action, a goal we all share as birders.  The $25 fee benefits Audubon Dallas and our work to build community and conserve habitat in Dallas, in addition to paying for this event.

His daughter said it best in a birthday post to him on social media:
